Linux System Administrator (Kyiv)

Ninety Percent of Everything is looking for Linux System Administrator to join our team in Kyiv on a full-time basis.

Our goal is to revolutionise shipping by creating a suite of comprehensive software solutions for the Maritime industry. Our journey begins now. Over the next couple of years, our teams and squads will build more than 30 products from the ground up. This includes everything from global vessel tracking to vessel performance analysis, crew optimization and so much more. Introduction to 90PoE

Our tech stack consists of React and React Native applications on frontend, communicating using GraphQL to Go applications. All our applications writing with micro service architecture, running in Kubernetes (EKS). Internally our services use gRPC for communication and achieve high scalability thanks to a Kafka based event driven architecture and persist data to a mix of RDBS and NoSQL databases including PostgresDB, MongoDB, S3 and Elasticsearch. We follow modern CI/CD and agile methodologies to deploy into production multiple times per week.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain infrastructure services in AWS. Use best practices of Infrastructure as a Code approach
  • Work closely with development squads to support them in deploying their application and promoting them to production. Configuring and defining CI/CD processes
  • Automate the IoT infrastructure for the platform across multiple environments.
  • Developing and operating Kubernetes clusters with addons and applications inside it. Define/configure new addons, work with K8S operators, etc
  • Continuously improve observability and monitoring practices in order to meet better SLA
  • Maintain data layer of product (Elasticsearch, postgres, mongodb)

Requirements (Must Have Experience)

  • Proficiency in:
    • Microservices architecture concepts
    • Docker, KubernetesoLinux
    • Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform)
    • Configuration management (Ansible)
    • Grafana/Prometheus
    • EFK stack
    • RDBMS and NoSQL database (Postgres, Mongodb, elasticsearch)
    • AWS
    • CI/CD, gitOps
  • Understanding of Cloud Native/12 factor approaches

Nice to have

  • Golang
  • Service Mesh (Linkerd or Istio)
  • IoT device deployment
  • AWS Associated Sys Admin
  • CKAD/CKA
  • Experience with Kafka
